The Containerboard Packaging Group, a division of Cascades, is the largest containerboard producer in Canada, and is also a top converter of corrugated products in the country. The Group manufactures a wide range of products made from recycled fibres for its North American customers in the food, beverage and consumer products sectors, among many others. The Division, which employs close to 3,400 people, owns six containerboard mills and nineteen corrugated products plants in Canada and the United States.

Job Description

Our Labour Pool workforce provides support with various tasks from general clean-up to vacation and training relief of our full time permanent staff. Extensive training is provided to ensure employees are qualified and safe to perform the work and continuous training allows these folks to move through the progressions of our positions. We are looking for safety-minded team players that are eager to work and learn.


Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Knowledgeable of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and possess a strong safety focus
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Available and flexible to work all shifts including overtime

The hours of work for this position vary but are typically on a 12-hour continental shift. The starting rate for this position is currently $19.82/hr. This rate increases to $20.96/hr after 750 hours and $22.08/hr after 1500 hours.
