Your opportunity:
Reporting to the Executive Director, Athletics and Physical Activity and under the general supervision of the Assistant Manager, Student-Athlete Services, the incumbent provides a wide range of academic success support services and guidance to intercollegiate and high performance student-athletes.

Working in a diverse fast-paced, energetic team environment, the incumbent will be detail oriented and deliver accurate, effective, and efficient customer service while projecting a welcoming, positive and professional image for the Varsity Blues program at the University of Toronto. This position works closely with intercollegiate coaches, registrars, and on-campus academic support services staff to support the academic success of student athletes, and the University of Toronto high performance student-athletes.

Your responsibilities will include:
Implementing plans and process improvements for programs and service activity
Creating and updating students records maintaining confidentiality of information
Promoting departmental events and programs to students and delivering presentations to promote programs, opportunities and/or initiatives
Developing content for marketing and/or promotional materials and editing content for brochures, newsletters, websites and handbook.
Liaising with various stakeholders to foster collaboration and ensure consistent administration procedures are followed.
Determining the logistical details and activities for events and/or programming, coordinating the schedule for programs and event calendar and handling expenses for events
Directing the activities of casual staff and submit time sheets for data processing
Keeping well informed on student service programs across all three campus, and providing advice/guidance as it relates to athletic eligibility

+Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in education or acceptable combination of equivalent experience. Ontario College of Teachers certification is an asset.
Minimum two years experience working in student academic success, and advising preferably in both a University and academic setting.
A solid understanding of Ontario University Athletics (OUA) and USPORTS eligibility rules required
Familiarity with University of Toronto academic rules, regulations, and student support resources on all 3 campuses is a definite asset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Skilled inestablishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a diverse group of students
Knowledge in the practical application of student development theory and academic learning strategies
Good problem solving, multi tasking and organization skills
Demonstrated initiative and motivation and ability to maintain confidentiality in a fast-paced diverse environment

Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone:
USW Pay Band 09 – $58,242 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $74,482. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
